When planning a new website, one of the first questions is always the same:how much will it cost?

The short answer is: it depends on the type of website, the platform, and the project scope.

In this article, I’ll explain:

  • realistic website development costs in Lithuania,

  • the difference between Wix Studio and WordPress,

  • and the additional expenses that are often overlooked.

Realistic Website Development Costs in Lithuania

A website budget usually consists of:

  • website design and development,

  • platform or hosting fees,

  • domain registration,

  • optional additional features.

My current starting prices:

  • Business / presentation website (Wix Studio or WordPress) – from €650

  • WordPress e-commerce website (WooCommerce) – from €950

These prices include website setup, launch, and basic configuration for real use.

Wix Studio – Simple and Fast to Launch

Wix Studio is a good choice if you need:

  • a clean presentation website,

  • a clear structure,

  • the ability to easily edit content yourself.

Additional Wix Studio costs

  • Wix Studio plan – approx. €20–30 / month(depending on the selected plan and features)

  • Domain name – around €10–15 / year(often free for the first year with Wix)

👉 With Wix, hosting, security, and system updates are already included in the plan.

WordPress – Flexibility and Growth Potential

WordPress is suitable when:

  • you plan to expand your website over time,

  • you need additional functionality,

  • you want to run an online store.

Additional WordPress costs

  • Hosting (e.g. Hostinger) – approx. €3–10 / month(a Premium or Business plan is usually enough for small businesses)

  • Domain name – around €10–15 / year

  • Optional plugins, such as:

    • booking or appointment systems,

    • advanced SEO or security tools,

    • e-commerce extensions.

👉 Many plugins are free, but in some cases paid plugins may be needed(typically €30–100 per year, depending on functionality).

Why Do Website Prices Vary So Much?

Website costs vary depending on:

  • the number of pages,

  • whether an online store is needed,

  • booking or registration features,

  • whether content (texts, branding) is already prepared.

That’s why it’s important to look not only at the price, but what is included.

Which Platform Should You Choose?

Choose Wix Studio if you value:

  • fast setup,

  • simple content management,

  • minimal technical maintenance.

Choose WordPress if you need:

  • scalability and long-term flexibility,

  • custom functionality,

  • more control over future growth.

I always select the platform based on the project’s real needs.

Final Thoughts

There is no single “correct” price or platform for everyone. What matters most is choosing a solution that is clear, functional, and suitable for your business, not just the cheapest option.

If you’re unsure which solution would work best for you, feel free to reach out. I’ll ask a few questions and help you choose the right setup and budget.
